Praveen Narasingamurthy is the founder of Terrabean. He feels blessed to have been part of the nation-wide seed savers network for ten years – excited and inspired by their wholehearted efforts taken to preserve and promote the richness of our traditional/desi/heirloom seed diversity.

Inspired by the tireless efforts of Sahaja Samrudha based at Bangalore taken to revive traditional crop diversity, he joined the team for like mindedness. Gained immense experience and exposure serving as a project assistant in different seed projects, campaigns and events held at National and International level. Actively been part of forming India’s first farmer producer company Desi Seed Producer Company in 2013, owned by farmers and managed by professionals. Steered with patience and passion through challenging times to create and capture value for the brand Sahaja Seeds – a registered trademark of Desi Seed Producer Company Ltd. headquartered at Mysuru. Always believes in teamwork and embraces change with courage.

His journey criss-crossed with many farmer groups in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and created bonding relationships with individual farmers/seed savers in Nagaland, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and many other states to market their heirloom/traditional seeds and farm produces grown naturally through innovative digital marketing ideas.

With the support of network partners executed, setting up of primary processing units for millets and value added products in remote rural areas; been part of developing internship programs, trainings and workshops on Seed production, Agricultural marketing, Farmer field school concept and Internship programme; content writing for mobile applications are few capacities excelled during his tenure with National Rural Mission, Kerala and Mindtree, Bangalore.
